Creatora is an AI-powered creative studio that teaches kids AI literacy through real projects — storybooks, comics, game design, inventions, and more.
Built by a Florida educator and her 9-year-old son, SJ — because she wanted to ensure he had access to emerging AI technology in an environment that was safe and fun.

Dr. Bilan Joseph has spent her career teaching children to read, write, and think. When AI started showing up in classrooms, she noticed something nobody was talking about: tools designed to use AI for children, but nothing designed to teach children to use AI themselves — safely, creatively, and with real understanding.
So she started building one. Her son SJ, age 9, became her first tester, her harshest critic, and her most important collaborator. He told her when something was boring. He told her when the AI needed to be a dog. He tested every single project and pushed back every time something didn't feel right for a real kid.
Creatora is what you get when a child has a genuine seat at the table.
AI literacy is woven into every project — no boring lessons, no quiz questions. Just making things.
Choose from Storybooks, Comics, Game Design, Inventions, or Community Ventures — all built for your age group and calibrated to your track.
Your AI guide co-creates with you step by step — following your ideas, asking questions that spark imagination, and gently weaving in ethics along the way.
Get a complete, polished final project — ready to share, or order as a printed book with your name on the cover. You're the author. AI was the tool.
Every project type works across both age tracks — same spark, different depth.
Co-write a story with your AI guide. Explorer: invent a character. Builder: develop narrative voice & structure.
Create panels and dialogue. Explorer: a hero you invent. Builder: visual storytelling on a real issue.
Design a game world and rules. Explorer: fun and creative. Builder: design rules that are fun, fair, and playable for everyone.
Build a solution to a problem. Explorer: any cool gadget. Builder: design it to work for everyone, not just some people.
Design something for your community. Explorer: a fun idea for your neighborhood. Builder: measure your impact and make sure real community voices are heard.
Every project secretly teaches AI literacy. Kids build these skills without sitting through a single lesson.
How AI works, what it can and can't do — in plain language.
What to share online, what to keep private, and how to stay safe.
Why representation matters and how to spot unfairness in AI outputs.
How to check, verify, and think critically — not just accept AI's answer.
Your ideas, your creativity, your decisions. AI is just the brush.
How to be a responsible, kind digital citizen in an AI-filled world.
Same five projects, different depth. Creatora adapts to where kids are — not where adults assume they are.
Warm, playful, and imaginative. Nova the robot pup guides younger creators with simple prompts, gentle questions, and lots of encouragement. Ethics appear naturally — never as lectures.
Bold, confident, and socially aware. Codey guides older creators through deeper challenges — bias, privacy, stakeholder impact, and what it means to create responsibly in a real world.
SJ shaped the product. Nova is named Nova because SJ said she should be a dog, and "Nova sounds like she lights things up." Every feature was validated by a real 9-year-old in real time.
No separate ethics lessons. Ethics questions appear naturally inside every project at specific turns, calibrated to never repeat the same concern twice across five projects.
Every project can be ordered as a printed, illustrated book with the child's name on the cover. When a kid holds a book they made, the lesson about authorship and AI becomes real.
